ABOUT THIS HUNT:
In all my hunting experiences I have only actually seen two wolverines. It took almost three years to set this up. This is one of those hunts where you really need to do your homework and choose your guide wisely.
First two days we were socked in with blizzard conditions by day three we were cutting trails with the snowmobiles. We came upon a wolverine kill on the trail and had fresh tracks. Lucky for us this sign was in a valley and we made a circle with the snow machine. We took up a position high up on a ridge where we sculpted an area out of the snow. The next day we headed into the same area with snowshoes. Just as we got set in place we watched the wolverine exiting the kill site with a bone in his mouth. He was nearly 3/4 mile when he looked to be going down a hole. A half hour later he popped up out of the hole and headed back up the valley downwind of us. Lucky we were on the ridge. He got to within 200 yards when the shot presented itself.
