ABOUT THIS HUNT:
This was the classic last day hunt. You've heard this type of story before so I'll spare you all the details but let's put it this way, we were only hunting till noon!

Most of the time on this hunt was spent in a Murphy's Law roller coaster. I'd see plenty of shooters and for one reason or another my cameraman either was not in correct position of just couldn't see to synchronize with me on taking a shot. When you come all that distance and you have a TV show riding on the shot sometimes the most frustrating thing you can do is watch a monster walk! It breaks your heart but this hunt was part entertainment and part hunting business.

10 minutes to 12 a ten point dandy steps out looking for a hot doe and finally we were all on the same page.

Cameraman could see it, I couldn't then we'd reverse the circus. Eventually, the cameraman and I made eye contact and it was show time! I always make sure even when I have the shot is lined up it's a "go" before I pull the trigger. It was and with about a 220 yard shot it was no problem for the Browing A-bolt and my Nosler bullet to find it's mark. Down went this monarch!
